As you probably already know if you follow our journey here at Protea Zero Waste, in addition to being an online store, we also have a brick & mortar location where customers can bring their own containers and refill on everyday products, such as cleaning supplies, shampoo, conditioner, & facial care.
And while refill stores are becoming more popular and starting to pop up in more and more locations around the world, we understand that not everyone lives near enough to one to make it a part of their regular routine.
If you're someone who's on a journey to reduce their household waste, but doesn't live near a refill store, then this blog post is for you! Luckily, there are still a lot of great zero-waste options you can use to reduce your household waste without going to a refill store!
Laundry Strips
Say goodbye to those big plastic containers when you switch to laundry strips instead! They are pre-measured, and concentrated to the perfect amount for one load. They work with any washing machine - just throw it in with your laundry, and it will dissolve completely in hot or cold water.
